Owgriff
With the Head of an owl and the body of a lion they tend to be the most intelligent of the Griffins
(conjure lightening from the heavens with their mind, and aim it at their opponent) [/center]
Like Dragons, Griffins each have their own specific powers. Their element is lightning, and they know how to use it. Most species has a shot limit of 7.
(Swamp+Eagle+Griffin)
They can see in the dark, have camouflage abilities, and instead of the normal colored lightning of your average griffin, theirs' is a dark green and ice cold to the touch. They cannot handle the cold- something to do with their blood temperatures- and will literally freeze if put in a temperature less than their normal. Being hit with each others fire also incapacitates them, so this is a thing to watch if training a pair of Sweagriffs. They are also clumsy in the water, despite their enjoyment of swimming. More than one Sweagriff has drowned in the past. Shot Limit: Eight, a bit more than your average griffin. They are noble creatures who would prefer to spend their time in the air or around water than anywhere else. They thrive in heat and humidity, but dry air and cold weather isn't their playing field. Every one seems unique in the fact that no two griffins are alike in behavior, just like how no two Sweagriffs have similar appearances. Usually some shade of green with various earthy colors dotting their bodies. Sweagriffs have whipcord-like appendages sprouting from the areas behind their ears and at the base of their tails. These long string-like objects are topped in a large feathered plume, like a peacocks feather, as every one has a circle of some green splotch near the center of it. They have sharp hooked claws and white tipped beaks, and are considered a very elusive species as they only wander forests and swamps at certain times of the day. They stand about a foot or so above your average griffins, and tend to have thick manes along the length of their necks. Most Sweagriffs also seem to have long ears. Colors and markings vary, though there is always at a minimum one shade of green on their forms, and spots tend to be the fashion. These beasts are reclusive, so few have been partnered up.
