It wasn't a windy day like it was yesterday. Well, okay, it was usually always windy in Berk, but it wasn't as windy as yesterday. In fact, it was rather hot. Tearoff brushed some bangs out of his face. I knew I should have cut it before summer, he thought angrily. He passed some people he knew rather well, and gave a small wave, but, otherwise, ignored them. He wasn't in the mood to talk. He wasn't ever in the mood to talk, really. He slowly made his way toward a less crowded side of the village and looked up in the sky. A few dragons and their masters were out flying. So long as they don't come close to me, I'm fine, he thought, sitting down in front of a building. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do just yet.
So, in boredom, he watched people walk. There were some going in stores and others coming out. Hearing little tidbits about their lives was interesting, too. Man, am I really this bored? I hate being bored. He groaned, rubbing his neck. And, on top of being bored, it's really hot. He sighed. There was seriously nothing to do if you weren't a dragon fan. I would join the Currs, but... He didn't know why he didn't. After all, they didn't have dragons. Ah, who am I kidding? They're terrible people. At least we vikings are honest.
